Anna Conrad

Anna joined the lab in summer 2008. She is working as an REU student on our C&N cycling project funded by NSF. She and Allison Oakes processed our first year AM roots collected from our plots at the Bartlet Forest, New Hampshire. They assessed the level of AM colonization in the non-ectomycorrhizal roots. As expected, the AM colonization is very high, probably averaging above 80%. Here Anna takes a look at some EM root tips on a Larix seedling.
