Yaz joined the lab in summer 2009. She worked in Annette Kretzer's lab on the population structure of Suillus spraguei, a project funded by the USDA McIntire-Stennis program. She is now working on the belowground invasion biology of pines introduced to Puerto Rico and on the genetic structure of Pisolithus tinctorius in Puerto Rico.
Here Yaz is contemplating the meal she will have with this lovely chicken of the woods (and perhaps contemplating the difference in climate between Puerto Rico and upstate New York?).
