About the speaker: For twenty-four years, Don has been the director of Extension Services in Island County, Washington -- one of the fastest growing counties in Washington State. Prior to that he worked for four years as a 4H agent in one of the most rural counties in Washington State. His work in Island County has been focused on natural resources protection, youth development and building communities. Don’s programs are based from three office locations. His personal office is located at the county seat in Coupeville, Washington; two other offices house his environmental educational programs. His most unique office is located 5 miles from Coupeville at the Admiralty Head Lighthouse, a 103 year old landmark, located within Ft. Casey State Park.
