Welcome to ESF!

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I welcome you as a new member of the ESF community. Congratulations on making the decision to come to the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

In these web pages, you will be introduced to our orientation program and many of the resources available to you on both the ESF and Syracuse University campuses. It is my advice that you take advantage of these resources and that you become an active member of our community.

While it is our expectation that you will be a serious student, it is equally important to us that you become an educated and thoughtful citizen. There are numerous clubs and organizations in which you can become involved, and there are many opportunities for you to contribute to the larger community through volunteer service.

When you graduate from ESF, what will set you apart? While only you can answer that question, we can and do offer you many co-curricular experiences and resources that will allow you to hone those very skills for which employers are looking.

I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors and I look forward to the contributions you will make as an ESF student.
