For education, there is the opportunity to visit such places as the Adirondack Museum, one of the finest regional museums of history and art in the United States. The Adirondack Park Visitor's Interpretive Center, located on HWF and managed by the Adirondack Park Agency, has a wide variety of lectures, workshops and naturalist guided trail walks to participate in. Living for a summer on HWF also provides a unique experience of sharing the comradeship of fellow workers and researchers.
