These college work-study positions are part of the Federal College Work-Study Program. For more information on applying for federal work-study, contact the College's financial aid office (315.470.6670). Interviews for these positions will be held in April. Contact Mark Hill (315.470.6673) to set up an appointment for an interview.

In addition to the numerous opportunities to participate in research activities, recreational and educational opportunities are plentiful. Students enjoy fishing, swimming, biking, canoeing, and nature photography both on HWF and on nearby state land.  For education, there is the opportunity to visit such places as the Adirondack Museum, one of the finest regional museums of history and art in the United States. The Adirondack Park Visitor's Interpretive Center, located on HWF and managed by the Adirondack Park Agency, has a wide variety of lectures, workshops and naturalist guided trail walks to participate in.

Living for a summer on HWF also provides a unique experience of sharing the comradeship of fellow workers and researchers.  Most students stay in bunk-type housing units, sharing living space with other students. Students are required to eat in the Rich Lake Dining Center (weekly meal charge).
