Mission

The Office of Assessment is SUNY ESF’s trusted source for assessment guidance and information. The office supports a collaborative effort among the campus community to create a culture of assessment, maintain a drive for continuous improvement and provide a solid framework of results-based decision making that supports student success initiatives and institutional effectiveness. 

Vision

The Office of Assessment will be a guiding light for ESF during these turbulent times for smaller colleges in New York State. With a push toward continuous improvement and a focus on utilizing assessment results to guide critical decisions, the Office will ensure that ESF uses a streamlined process to demonstrate effective assessment practices. The office is committed to ensuring that institutional effectiveness strategies are guided by assessment data to promote a standard of excellence for our future environmental leaders.

Assessment at ESF

Specifically, the Assessment Office:

  • coordinates academic and administrative assessment at the University
  • provides resources and support to faculty and staff engaged in the internal assessment process
  • serves as the document home for all assessment results

The Assessment Office is part of the Office of the Academic Administration.
