Every curriculum at ESF utilizes computers in one way or another, whether it is used as a word processor, a calculator, a filing system, a communications device, a control system, or any one of the other numerous possibilities.
The microcomputer repair shop is here to provide technical support to faculty, staff and students with computer problems. We repair desktop computers, monitors, mice and some laptop computers. We install upgrades including memory, hard drives, zip drive, modems, network cards, CD-ROM drives and CD-ROM writers.
Working with the ESF Computing Center and the Physical Plant, we support networking via the ESFNET.
We maintain a well-equipped repair facility/office with test equipment, tools and reference material.
Cost: Parts and supplies only, including shipping charges and inventory overhead markups, if appropriate.
