  • SAGE09: Sustainable and Green Entrepreneurship Seminar
    8:30 am - 3:30 pm. Rosamond Gifford Zoo, Community Room. Do you want to be a science millionaire? All day event for high school students and teachers to learn about the opportunities and ventures in profit and non-profit contexts with the goal of developing a green and sustainable business idea to enter into the MDA of CNY & Syracuse Business Idea Competition. Program will look at the science of environmental challenges, entrepreneurial thinking and the role they play in these challenges. FREE event. Must pre-register. Limited space.

  • Native American Film and Feast
    6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Nifkin Lounge ( Marshall Hall). Native American Film and Feast is a celebration of Native American culture. There will be a wide selection of Native Foods to eat. Everyone will get the opportunity to learn Native dance during the Native American Dance Social. There will also be an educational film.

  • State of Our Planet Forum
    5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Nifkin Lounge. Green Campus Initiative is holding a forum to discuss the state of our planet. We submitted five questions to five ESF professors and invited them to share their responses with the college community. Come here what they have to say and voice your own thoughts, Tueday Nov. 17th 5-8pm in Nifkin Lounge. There will be lots of food and great discussions! This is a zero waste event, so bring a tupperware and your mug!

  • Kiln Drying Workshop
    139 Baker Lab, SUNY ESF campus, 1 Forestry Drive, Syracuse, NY 1321-. This course will provide practical knowledge about how wood is effectively kiln dried, and scientific background on related wood properties and drying processes. It will have value for novice as well as experienced kiln operators, and sales, purchasing, marketing and manufacturing managers. Instruction, by university professors and various industry experts, will be in the classroom and through hands-on lab exercises using our modern kiln.
