Joe Minicozzi is the principal of Urban3, a North Carolina geo-spatial analytic firm. Urban3 work has pioneered the practice of utilizing GIS to analyze the affect of policy and taxation on the creation of sprawl. Joe is a
sought after lecturer on city design and his work has been featured in numerous journals and conferences. This presentation will illustrate the simple tools that help visualize the interface of public policy and land
planning, and uncover detrimental municipal policies hiding in plain sight.
