Event Description: Event image.The Onondaga Lake Community Education Project is a collaborative effort between the Onondaga Nation, the Onondaga Environmental Institute, and Neighbors of the Onondaga Nation to provide historical and ecological education, facilitate the exchange of community knowledge and experience, and foster public participation in the restoration of Onondaga Lake and its watershed. We'll provide an introduction to the historical ecology of the lake environment, major sources of damage to the watershed, some of the current remediation and restoration efforts, and the Onondaga Nation's vision for the future of the lake. Join us and add your voice to the community conversation!
