Got Game? The Adirondack Interpretive Centerís Series for Sportsmen in the Adirondacks
Saturday, January 26, 2013
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Location: Adirondack Interpretive Center
This new program series will highlight the role that sportsmen play in conservation and game management. Hunters and trappers were among our nationís initial preservationists, and they continue to have a strong voice and important contribution as one of the Adirondack Parkís major stakeholders. Come share your stories, insights, and experiences fireside in the historic Huntington Lodge trophy room. Participants can enjoy beer, hot chocolate, chili and cornbread. This monthís conversation about White-tailed Deer will be led by DEC Wildlife Biologist, Jeremy Hurst, who specializes in managing New York Stateís big game populations. Future chats about trapping, Snowshoe Hare, and Wild Turkey are planned for the following months.
