Creating Video-Enhanced Lectures - Tools, Tips & Opportunities
Wednesday, September 11, 2013
12:45 pm - 1:45 pm
Location: Gateway 240
Event Description: From Terry Ettinger...
"The Faculty Governance Committee on Technology invites you to attend, “Creating Video-Enhanced Lectures - Tools, Tips & Opportunities,” a brown bag workshop I’ll be presenting this coming Wednesday, September 11th from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. in Gateway 240.
"During the presentation I’ll introduce you to some of the software (Prezi, Camtasia Studio, SnagIt, Cyberlink Power Director, etc.), hardware (cameras, computers, microphones, digital tablets, network attached storage, etc.) and processes (blending still images, video clips, audio, scans, setting up scenes, etc.) I used this past spring semester in the production of more than sixty video lectures.
"And, while the geek in me enjoys talking about technical bells and whistles, I’ll also share my ideas for how to use the technology to create an enhanced learning environment for my students now - as well as strategies for maintaining connections with them through informal continuing education opportunities far into the future.
"Of course, I also look forward to learning about your experiences in the use of innovative media strategies in your classes, too – so come prepared to share!"
