Adirondack Public Lands Classification presentation
Monday, December 2, 2013
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Students from the Newcomb Campus Adirondack Residential Semester (ARS) will present their land classification and management recommendations for 22,000 acres of former timber lands recently purchased by the State. These lands, which include the Essex Chain Lakes and OK Slip Falls, the highest waterfall in the Adirondacks, are a central component of Gov. Cuomo’s commitment to ecological and economic sustainability in the Adirondacks. ARS students will present a detailed comprehensive plan addressing these two goals, and will address questions and comments from the audience. All members of the campus community are encouraged to attend.
