Nuclear Sacrifice Zones - from Los Alamos to Fukushima: Is NY Next?

Film screening of "The Forgotten Bomb" with the filmmaker Bud Ryan.
In his movie, Bud takes us to Los Alamos and the Marshall Islands which became Nuclear Sacrifice Zones during and after WWII due to testing of nuclear weapons. Ryan will be with us and will show excerpts of his film and speak about environmental impacts of bomb activity around Los Alamos, New Mexico.
ESF student Kayo Green, who is from Japan, will share up-to-date information from Fukushima, Japan, where radiation leaks continue 5 years after the nationís worst nuclear power plant accident on record.
Discussion will follow, including efforts you can join to prevent further damage, including around New York state.
Refreshment will be served.
