Searching Companies and Job Descriptions
To find the list of participating career fair companies (and links to their profile and web site), login to OrangeLink. Click on 'Fairs, Workshops, & Employer Connections' on the left toolbar and find the ESF Environmental Career Fair.
It is a good practice, for the companies you are interested in, to check to see if they also have current job postings in OrangeLink. Apply if you have the skills/qualifications. Visit a company's site prior to the fair and submit your resume if you can. Then let the recruiter know what actions you have taken prior to attending the career fair. It will show them that you are motivated to work for them.
Career Fair Programming
To prepare you for the career fair, we schedule workshops around related topics. Check out the full schedule of topics and presenters by visiting the Career Development Series page.
Linked in Headshots
Did you know that one of the biggest mistakes you can make on LinkedIn is not having a profile photo? It’s true! So, ditch the selfie (or empty square) and upgrade to a more professional look. You’re already at the Career Fair and dressed professionally, so get a headshot taken.
Back by popular demand, SUNY-ESF students and alumni can receive a free headshot courtesy of the Career Center. Use your headshot to upgrade your LinkedIn profile and create a stronger personal brand and professional online presence everywhere you use a profile photo.
Headshots will be available from for the duration of the Career Fair. Photos will then be emailed to students.
