Chemistry Research at SUNY-ESF
Research, both basic and applied, plays a central role in Chemistry at ESF. This page will take you to the following areas:
- Polymer Research Institute—The Polymer Research Institute is a consortium of Associate Members drawn from several organizations and institutions. It is established to promote the advancement of polymer science through education and research, to coordinate diversified activities of polymer scientists and engineers, and to develop strong cooperative programs with polymer-based industries, nationally and internationally.
- Analytical and Technical Services—Operates most of our major instrumentation and provides other key services such as instrument and computer repair, stockroom operation.
- Faculty Member Pages—Descriptions of our current research activities are found here.
- Cellulose Research Institute and Polymer Research Institute—Two Institutes of long standing which have their homes in our department are the Cellulose Research Institute (CRI) and the Polymer Research Institute (PRI).
- Facilities Locator—Descriptions of our research facilities, their locations, and names of contact people.
- Winter Laboratory Notebook—Only viewable from within esf.edu. Shared procedures for sample handling, instrumentation use, the JOURNAL CLUB and more
- Materials Safety Data Sheets—These provide useful information about safe handling of chemicals. The page describes their use and provides links to some of the more extensive MSDS databases.
- Information For Researchers at SUNY-ESF—This file contains links about SUNY related travel, purchasing information etc. Please note that these links are accessible only from computers with domain names at "....syr.edu" and ".....esf.edu".
