General Meetings

1)      American Chemical Society NATIONAL Meetings - Held twice a year (March/April and August/September), you need to submit abstracts 4-6 months in advance.

2)     American Chemical Society REGIONAL Meetings - These may offer much less overwhelming experiences than a National Meeting.

3)    Sigma Xi Annual Meeting and Student Research Conference - Detroit, Michigan on November 3-4, 2006.

4)    National Conferences on Undergraduate Research

5)  70th Intercollegiate Student Chemists (ISC) Convention - 70th was held at Ursinus College campus in April, 2006.

6)  ACS New York Section Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium - Find your local section!

7)  Rochester Undergraduate Science Conference - Every April. Sponsored by the Rochester Section of the American Chemical Society

8)  Undergraduate Research Projects, A Capstone Experience - An online conference scheduled for April 2006, sponsored by the ACS Division of Chemical Education.

9)   The Journal of Young Investigators - Not a conference, but an opportunity to publish your research.
 

Environmental Chemistry
1)  Society for Envrionmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) - National and Regional Meetings.

2)   Annual Environmental Chemistry Student Symposium at Penn State University - April 17-18, 2006.
 

Polymer Chemistry
1)  INSPIRE - (Interstate Network of Science Programs Integrating Research and Education).  September. 21-24, 2006 on the University of Southern Mississippi's Hattiesburg campus.
 

Computational Chemistry
1)  MERCURY Conference on Computational Chemistry - National event devoted solely to undergraduate computational chemistry. The Fifth conference will be held at Hamilton College from July 26-28, 2006.
 
 

Conferences Oriented towards Under-represented Minorities

1)  NOBCChE - National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers.
 

2)  SACNAS - Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science.
