Synopsis:

An introduction to the physical chemistry, physics, processing and technology of synthetic and natural polymers. Polymer solution properties including methods of molecular weight determination and chain statistics. Solid state properties including rubber elasticity, viscoelasticity, the glassy state and the crystalline state. Properties, processing and technology of films, fibers, elastomers and foams.

Prerequisites

One year each of organic and physical chemistry.
