Environmental Career Fair a Success
More than three dozen potential employers came to "show off their wares" and discuss career opportunities with ESF students at the Environmental Career Fair.
The fair was held on the ESF campus from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 27.
Several hundred students made their way through the crowded aisles in the Nikfin Lounge to speak with representatives of large and small private companies as well as government employers. Most companies set up large displays explaining their firm's services and offered students free give-aways like toys, pens, pencils, lanyards and candy. Many company reps were ESF alumni who, like Matt Renaud '01, was "happy to be back on campus."
The career fair allowed students to explore internship and employment opportunities with a wide range of employers. Companies represented included engineering, biological science, landscape architecture, resource management and various other profit and not for profit employers in the environmental sciences.
The Environmental Career Fair was sponsored by ESF's Office of Career and Counseling Services and Syracuse University's Career Services Network.
