"It is with great sadness that I inform the ESF community of the loss of our student, Jeff Dupuis, in a climbing accident on Mt. Rainier last Thursday. Jeff and another climber were on descent from the summit when they slid down a steep slope and perished (details at www.seattletimes.com). Jeff was a junior in Environmental Studies, and newly-elected president of the Bob Marshall Club. His home address: 2886 Downing St., Big Flats, NY 14814.
"A memorial service will be held for Jeff Dupuis on the ESF campus in Syracuse in September, once his fellow students have returned for classes. Date and time will be announced."
