Feinstone Environmental Awards Seeks Nominees
Honoring Conservation Nature Education Centers
The 2004 Sol Feinstone Environmental Awards program will honor
conservation education centers.
The Awards Committee, based at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, N.Y., invites nominations of conservation nature education centers that have demonstrated a clear commitment to educational programs focusing on the natural environment, excellence in programming, service to their communities, and in serving as a role model that other centers may emulate.
The Feinstone Award carries a $1,000 cash prize. The recipient also receives a commemorative crystal statue, and will be honored at a banquet in Syracuse. At the discretion of the Awards Committee and depending upon the quality of the nominations, up to four additional awards in the amount of $500 will be made.
Complete information on the nomination procedure may be found at the awards program Web site, www.esf.edu/feinstone.
