Fall Foliage 2007
WSTM interviews Dr. Allen Drew
9/25
What is all the hot weather doing to the fall foliage? WSTM reporter Brandon Roth came to SUNY-ESF to find out. He talked with Dr. Allan Drew who explained the hot weather can be both good and bad. Warm temperatures combined with a lack of rain could push the leaves to dry up and fall off prematurely but, if we get some rain and some cool nights then it could be a good year for the fall color change. Drew explained that the cool temperatures keep the color pigments in the leaves and we might see some vivid colors.
