I grew up in a small town in western New York, and as cliche as it sounds, always knew I wanted to do something related to the environment. My grandfather was an ESF alum, and it was just a matter of time before I ended up here too. My research proposal is entitled, Towards a greater understanding of the urban carbon cycle: Variations of atmospheric CO2 within Syracuse, NY. I will be using ambient concentration data, along with two eddy covariance systems to look at the temporal and spatial variations of CO2. I am in my second year as an NSF GK12 STEM fellow, where I work with local high schools incorporating research into a college level environmental course.
