After receiving a B.S. in biology from Xavier University, I am pursuing a Masters Degree in Environmental and Forest Biology with a concentration in Conservation Biology. My research interests include interdisciplinary studies, GIS, wilderness, the Adirondack State Park, use of natural resources and economic implications, and community and nature interactions. My research topic is: Wilderness Perception Mapping in the Adirondack State Park, NY. I spent this past summer at the Adirondack Ecological Center (AEC) on Huntington Wildlife Forest during my first stage of data collection and worked as an intern with the Adirondack Park Agency on a Recreation Opportunity Spectrum project for the Adirondack Park. I will return to the AEC this summer to continue collecting data.
