Winter Ecology
This is a 3-credit course (EFB 484/684) available to juniors, seniors and
graduate students. The course meets during a February weekend and over March
Break at the Adirondack Ecological Center. Students learn about
adaptations of mammals for winter through a combination of presentations and

Wildlife Habitats & Populations
This is a 4-credit course (EFB 493/693) available to seniors and graduate
students that meets during the Fall Semester. The course builds on
concepts and techniques in ecology to explore the decision-making processes of
wildlife management. Students learn habitat evaluation, population
analysis and planning through an educational approach that emphasizes problem
