ESF shows new ways to wring fuel, chemicals from wood
"(Dean) Kamen (inventor of the Segway) was among roughly three dozen entrepreneurs, politicians and business leaders who descended on the college Monday to see the latest research on converting wood to energy. Other heavyweights included biologist Craig Venter, who formerly led the federal Human Genome Project and works on alternative fuels. ...
"'I've been waiting a long time for this meeting," said Rep. Charles Bass, R-N.H., who brought a group of business leaders from New Hampshire to the session, including Kamen and Venter. Bass said he is strongly interested in developing renewable energy supplies.'"
