Erasing Boundaries—Supporting Communities

Hotel, Travel, and Parking

New York City has a range of housing options from major midtown hotels to townhouse rentals and B&Bs.  There is no particular hotel associated with the symposium and attendees will need to find lodging accomodations on their own.  April is a very busy month in New York and we encourage you to book rooms as soon as possible.  It may be easiest to work with travel services such as AAA or on-line travel and hotel booking services such as expedia.com,  Priceline.com or hotels.com.   You can also try Craig’s List for short-term vacation rentals in NYC.

We have also provided a list of mid-priced hotels in Midtown and the Upper West Side if you want to contact hotels directly.  You may also want to consider lodging in the other boroughs (Brooklyn, Queens, etc.) or just across the Hudson River in  New Jersy.  Room rates may be lower and you can reach City College from any of these areas by public transportation (see link to City College map for directions).  Let us know if you are intersted in sharing accomodations with other participants and we can  share the names and contact information with those that are interested.
