Reserving Nifkin (Alumni) Lounge
Nifkin Lounge may be reserved by any ESF community member for a college-related function, inlcuding faculty, staff, students and student organizations.
Considerations:
- Reservations can be made up to six months in advance
- There are a number of “fixed” reservations that render the lounge unavailable*
- When possible, lounge should remain accessible to students during lunch
- When possible, non-student weekday events should conclude by 5:00pm
Reservation Steps:
- Check the "Fixed" Reservations lists below to be sure your desired date/time is available.
- Check the Nifkin Reservations Calendar to be sure your desired date/time is available. Note that only 1 event appears in each calendar box, but ALL events for a date appear in the right-hand list.
- Complete and submit the Reserving Nifkin (Alumni) Lounge form online.

Annually, there are a number of dates and times that are "fixed" for student programming and therefore the lounge is unavailable. These include:
Semester-long
- Monday's 5:00pm - 8:00pm (USA)
- All Reading Days
Fall Semester
and end of summer
- Ten days before classes in the fall semester (orientation leader training/orientation)
- Wednesday of the first week of classes (welcome back picnic / activities fair)
- Fall Semester Late Night, Alcohol-Free Programming
- Friday nights through October
- Saturday nights through September
- Friday and Saturday nights the last two weeks of the semester
- 4th Friday of September, Noon - 3:00pm, Admissions Event
- Second Thursday of October (Outreach Symposium)
- Columbus Day 7 a.m. - 3 p.m., Admissions Event
- Fall BBQ: Noon Friday, October 20th, through 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21st
