On-campus Reservations are required for campus visits. Please call 315-470-6599 or email esfgrad@esf.edu to make an appointment with the Office of Instruction & Graduate Studies. To meet with individual faculty or department representatives, contact those units separately.

Campus Graduate Tours
2pm, 227 Bray Hall

What -- or who -- is a “Nifkin?” Where can you get a cup of coffee? Where is the nearest wireless access? What plants are grown in the greenhouses on top of Illick Hall? What does a biofuel cell look like? A fifty-minute campus tour with an ESF graduate student host includes visits across the ESF campus. Tours stop at specific department offices by request. (Visitors are welcome to visit classroom buildings, libraries, and other facilities at their leisure after the tour). Tours are subject to modification or cancellation in inclement weather.

Enjoy your visit and make the most of the day:

• Wear comfortable shoes and come prepared for our terrain. Dress with our unpredictable Central New York weather in mind. For latest weather conditions visit weather.com for Syracuse, NY.
• Arrive early to allow for parking. For directions to campus and parking information, visit http://www.esf.edu/maps/
• Bring a camera, take pictures, and share the pictures with friends & family.
• Allow enough time to explore the campus and surrounding areas on your own. Tours do NOT typically include the Syracuse University campus.

The best time to visit SUNY ESF is during the regular semester schedule when faculty, staff, and students are on campus and can answer your questions. We cannot schedule tours during semester breaks, final exam weeks, or weekends.

Classes are in session during the following dates:

• Fall 2011
  Monday, August 29 to Friday, December 9
• Spring 2012
  Tuesday, January 17 to Tuesday, May 1

Classes are NOT in session during these academic breaks:

• Labor Day (no classes/SUNY ESF closed) - Monday, September 5
• Thanksgiving Recess (no classes) - Sunday-Sunday, November 20-27
• Between-semesters break (no classes) - Monday, December 12, 2009 to Monday, January 16, 2012
• The Office of Instruction and Graduate Studies is closed December 26, 2011 - January 1, 2012
• Martin Luther King Day (no classes/SUNY ESF closed) - Monday, January 16
• Spring Recess - Sunday-Sunday, March 11-18
