Transportation

  • Shuttle You Home Program

    Syracuse University 's SU Home service provides free transportation from the campus for students, faculty, and staff who reside off campus within a designated geographic area. SU Home is a newly formed program administered by the Department of Public Safety. The purpose of the program is to reduce crime against members of the University community and to reduce the fear of becoming a crime victim. A six-passenger van transports individuals from on-campus classes, academic programs, and co-curricular events to their off-campus residences. Most of the employees who operate this service are SU students and are trained by the Department of Public Safety. The shuttle service runs from 8:15 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. daily throughout the academic year. To use the shuttle, riders must go to the lobby of the Department of Public Safety, located in Sims Hall, and show their SU/ESF I.D. The shuttle departs from Sims Hall.

  • CuseCar
    CuseCar is a community car-sharing program that provides its members access to a fleet of alternative fuel vehicles - without the worry and expense of car ownership.
  • Centro Bus
    Centro provides public bus service for Syracuse and Onondaga County. The service is designed to have most routes converge simultaneously on a transfer location in downtown Syracuse for easy access to other Centro routes, or as a final destination. The also provide routes specific to the Syraucse University/SUNY-ESF campus area.
  • William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center (RTC)
    The RTC is home to train & bus services provided by Amtrak, Greyhound and Trailways. All are under one roof and the RTC provides customers a safe, clean & friendly environment while they travel. The RTC is accessible by Centro bus 7 days a week from locations in Onondaga, Cayuga and Oswego counties.
  • Syracuse Hancock International Airport
    Syracuse Hancock International Airport is served by the following major air carriers: American Eagle; Continental;Delta; JetBlue; Northwest; United Express; and USAirways. Other airlines that operate at the Airport include Comair (a Delta affiliate), CommutAir (a Continental affiliate), Allegheny, Mesa, Trans States, Colgan Air, Piedmont, Chautaqua, and Shuttle America (affiliates of USAirways).
