Application Process
Internships in Environmental Studies
Informational Meeting
Early in each semester, students (typically second semester sophomores, juniors and seniors) should take the initiative to meet with internships coordinator. At the conclusion of the meeting, students who are interested in pursuing an internship for the next term are asked to begin familiarizing themselves with the process and schedule an appointment with a faculty member to make a preliminary determination of eligibility and to discuss particular interests.

Seeking Advice
The decision to participate in the internship program may be a difficult one to make. Consideration should be given to your present academic and personal situation as well as to your future career and educational objectives. Seek advice from the many sources available to you faculty members, the Office of Career and Counseling Services (110 Bray), and students who have completed internship assignments.
Application Deadlines
Deadlines are internship specific, but for planning purposes the following time line applies:
- Mid October: Spring placements
- Early February: Summer Placements
- Mid-March: Fall placements
Application Materials Required
You must submit to the faculty sponsor a formal application consisting of four documents: the first Suggested Paperwork section (SP 1, 2 and 3); and a copy of your current resume (if you need assistance in the preparation of an appropriate resume the Office of Career and Counseling Services (110 Bray) or a faculty member will be happy to provide it).
Application Submission
Your completed application, which must be typed, should be submitted to the faculty sponsor. Application forms are available in the Suggested Paperwork section of this web site or in hard copy from 110 Bray Hall.
