To The College Community:
It is our sad duty to inform you that Dr. Paul F. Hopkins died July 29th
after collapsing on campus.
Paul was among our leading educators and researchers. He joined the college
faculty in 1979. In addition to his responsibilities in the Faculty of Environmental
Resources and Forest Engineering, Paul directed ESF's Council on Geospatial
Modeling and Analysis. He was active on the national executive council of
the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
Our thoughts are with his wife, Christine, and his two sons, Eric and Ryan.
We hope you will take a moment to remember Paul, his integrity, kindness
and gentlemanly demeanor.
