Located south of the Syracuse campus, the 4,000-acre Heiberg Memorial Forest provides instructional and research opportunities in ecosystems representative of the Appalachian plateau. Tree genetics trials play a substantial role here and at the nearby Genetic Field Station.

Emerge conducted the flight over the forest on October 11, 2001 during the fall senescence. This set of imagery is true color with 2 foot pixels, georeferenced to UTM Zone 18N, NAD83.

Mosaics of the images are available as georeferenced TIFF's from the Mapping Sciences Lab. Click here to see a map of the area with mosaic boundaries
