The Northern Forest Institute makes use of several ESF Newcomb Campus facilities, including three notable examples:

  • The Arbutus Great Camp will provide housing and intimate meeting spaces for small groups.
  • The Carriage House will serve as a state-of-the-art conference facility with teleconferencing capabilities. This facility will host ESF's Biomimicry Lab.
  • The Masten House will serve as a space for education, meetings, and small conferences. The Masten House is also capable of housing small groups.

As a core part of the ESF Newcomb Campus, the NFI works closely with the AEC (Adirondack Ecological Center) and AIC (Adirondack Interpretive Center).

The Northern Forest Institute is in the reach of 92 million people within 500 miles. Cities within a 3-hour drive include: Burlington, Vermont; Albany, New York; Syracuse, New York; Watertown, New York; Utica, New York; and Montreal, Quebec.
