This Website allows visitors to learn about the integration of forestry and water quality continuing education, public outreach, and scientific research within New York City's water supply system. As you explore this site, we hope you will come to understand how the New York City Watershed Model Forest Program is developing, monitoring, and demonstrating methods for sustaining healthy private forests and pristine water in the context of large-scale working landscapes over broad temporal terms.

4th Annual
Forestry Field Day
This year's Field Day was linked to the opening of our newest model forest -- the Siuslaw Model Forest in Greene County. Despite rainy weather, a big crowd attended the morning and afternoon events, including the ribbon cutting ceremony. Many thanks to Cooperative Extension of Greene County, Watershed Agricultural Council, and workshop presenters for their partnership.
