Twenty
years ago a small gathering of
early GIS users established the New York State GIS Conference.
Since that time it has become a major opportunity for hundreds
of GIS users throughout New York State to exchange information
and ideas regarding the use of GIS in business, government,
and academia. In recent history the conference venue has moved
back and forth across the state between Albany and Syracuse.
The range of venues has been recently expanded to the mid
Hudson area ('04) and Rochester ('05).
