ESF Forestry club is designed to help forestry and natural resource managers get involved with sustainable forestry practices. Students can expect to be involved in trail maintenance projects in Heiberg Forest as well as community and educational tree plantings. ESF Forestry Club is part of our student chapter with the Society of American Foresters (SAF), however you do not have to join SAF to be a member. Although membership is encouraged to be apart of annual SAF meetings where students will have opportunities to volunteer and talk with forestry professionals in New York State. Our mission is to provide students with opportunities for a future career in forestry and natural resources management.
We hope to build good relationships within the body of our members. We look to apply education within our discipline and to incorporate other disciplines outside of our field. Finally, we hope to be able to further interactions with other professional organizations on campus.
