The Knothole has been supported by professor Patrick Lawler as Faculty Advisor for many years. It is produced by SUNY ESF students from all disciplines. This page provides a short history of The Knothole and a series of bios (some yet to come...) for each Knothole staff member...

Why hello there!  My name is Debbie Moschak and I am the managing editor for the Knothole.  I am originally from Binghamton, NY, and am currently finishing up my senior year at ESF and will be graduating with a degree in environmental policy and business management in May.  Some of my main interests include environmental and social justice, as well as human rights issues.  After graduation, I plan on working with U.S. PIRG and continue my desire to change the world.  I also enjoy booping people on a regular basis, so don’t get nervous, just go with it.

Hi, my name is Whitney Sapienza and I am originally from Northport, NY.  I am currently a senior majoring in Environmental Science and will be graduating this May.  After graduation I plan on travelling and then going to graduate school for Marine Sciences.  I love to travel and to craft! High-fiving is also one of my loves, so if u see me around throw a hand up and give me 5...much appreciated!

Stanley Milewski

I am a senior Environmental Studies major with a concentration in Policy. In addition to the academic realms of interest directly relevant to my major, I also have a great deal of interest in English and literature. I recently applied to SU’s Creative Writing program, and I am currently eagerly awaiting a response regarding my application. In the meantime, I have been accepted into the Environmental Science MS program right here at ESF. Away from school, I enjoy cycling, summer employment as a landscaper, doubling as a small-engine repair specialist.
