Foie Gras Protest,

The owner of L'adour stated that foie gras makes up less than 1% of his menu sales and if a law was passed he would take it off the menu- let's let them know that they are personally responsible for the cruelty on foie gras farms and that as we saw in the Micheal Vick case, culture is no excuse for animal cruelty!

What: Hold signs and distribute literature during the busy lunch AND dinnertime hours.Signs and literature provided-just bring yourself and friends!

Where: L’adour Restaurant located at 110 Montgomery St. in Downtown Syracuse

When:

Lunchtime Demo: Sunday July 13th from 12noon-1pm
Dinnertime Demo: Friday July 18th from 6:30-8pm
Dinnertime Demo: Friday July 25th from 6:30-8pm

Important Note: due to the “upscale” nature of the crowd and in order to better advocate for the animals, please dress “business casual”.

Keep the issue fresh in the mind of L'adour owners and patrons and make sure you state your opposition to L'adour serving foie gras. Feel free to call, write and email the restaurant letting them know you want foie gras off their menu and you don't plan on giving them business until then. Also feel free to write editorials to any of the local papers regarding foie gras.

Day Trip to Farm Sanctuary
What: Visit the rescued farm animals at Farm Sanctuary in watkin's Glen, NY. Find out more about the sanctuary at www.farmsanctuary.org. Children welcome!
When: Saturday July 12th from 10am-6pm.
What to bring: $10 to help pay gas/tolls, $3 for your sanctuary tour, a bagged lunch or $ for lunch, sun screen, bottle of water/juice.
Carpool Info: We will meet at Recess Cafe(110 Harvard Pl. in Syracuse) at 10am sharp. We will get back to Syracuse around 6pm. You must RSVP if you want to join the carpool by emailing info@syracuseanimalrights.com.
