Friday - Saturday, January 15 and 16, 2016
In the weeks before your first semester begins, you received (or will receive) information related to your arrival at ESF. The Accepted Students and Orientation websites include all important informationfollow the links in the menubar above to be sure that you have completed all required preparation tasks, and that you have all important advance information. Please pay particular attention to the DO THESE SOON! items.
Since fewer students enter ESF in January, the orientation program is very brief and personal. Orientation marks the beginning of your tenure at ESF.
Current ESF students consistently report that attending orientation activities was very helpful in terms of getting to know the place. Orientation sessions introduce you to campus resources and involvement opportunities, and you have the opportunity to meet and discuss campus and community life with current students.
Each department handles the academic advising process differently. You will be informed at orientation as to how this will work for your particular area of study.
Welcome from the Office of Student Affairs
We realize that the arrival and orientation period can be confusing, but we are busily preparing to make sure that your transition to ESF is smooth.
ESF's Orientation program introduces new students to ESF, to the broader community, and to the abundant resources that we provide.
ESF students living on and off campus should also be aware that Syracuse University provides online resources for on-campus living and student services, including community living, spiritual services, "taking care of business" items, etc. As an ESF student, you are able to take advantage of both ESF and Syracuse University services.
If you have any questions, call the Office of Student Affairs at 315-470-6658/6660 or at email@example.com.
We look forward to meeting you on January 15. Get ready for a great college experience at one of the nation's top environmental schools!
