When the registrar processes your registration, a bill will be mailed to you. Late payment fees are assessed at the end of the month. If you receive a grade of "Incomplete," you are still responsible for tuition payment.
Pay in person: You may present payment with a check or money order made payable to SUNY-ESF or you may pay with MasterCard or VISA within ten days of receipt of the bill to the Business Office located in Room 102, Bray Hall.Pay by mail: Mail your payment to SUNY-ESF, Business Office, 102 Bray Hall, 1 Forestry Drive, Syracuse, NY 13210.
Non refundable College fee - 85 cents per credit hour ($2.55 for a 3-credit hour course) up to a maximum of $12.50 for 12 credit hours or more.
Student Activities fee - for non-matriculated students carrying 12 credit hours or more: Undergraduate: $91.00 per semester (SUNY-ESF and SU), Graduate: $50.00 per semester (SUNY-ESF and SU).
Student Support Services fee - all students each semester:
Full-time (12 credits or more): $196.00
Part-time (less than 12 credits) $16.35 per credit hour with a maximum of $196.00
Technology Fee
Full-time (12 credits or more): $157.00
Part-time (less than 12 credits): $13.10 per credit hour with a maximum of $157.00
Transcripts $5
Transportation fee of $40 is charged for bus transportation to field sessions.
Non-credit and audited courses: If you are taking a course for no credit or auditing a course, payment is due to the Outreach Office in 221 Marshall Hall when you submit your registration form. You may pay by check (made payable to SUNY-ESF), VISA or MasterCard. Students who register for a credit course on an "audit" basis are charged full tuition for the course and receive a Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory audit grade. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions page for the difference between non-credit and a formal audit.
Senior Citizens Audit*: Seniors (age 60 or over) may audit* credit courses free of charge on a space available basis.
Student Teaching Vouchers: SUNY tuition vouchers for supervision of student teachers are accepted in payment of tuition.
*NOTE: SUNY Policy and NYS Education Law defines a course audit as not being enrolled and listed in the registers for a course, attending without credit, attending without formal recognition, and not being required to meet the requirements of the course. Therefore courses involving labs, field trips, password protected online learning systems (ex: Blackboard, online courses), or group based projects should only be taken for credit as formal recognition and participation is necessitated by the nature of the course structure.
