Cancellations, Withdrawals & Refunds
Need to withdraw? Submit the Add/Drop form as soon as possible!
Non-matriculated students who withdraw from a SUNY-ESF course must provide written notice to ESF Outreach by filling out an Add/Drop form.
The first day of classes offered on the SUNY-ESF main campus, is considered the "first day of the semester", and the first week of classes, for purposes of refunds, is defined as seven calendar days after the "first day" of SUNY-ESF scheduled classes. A student who is given permission to cancel registration is liable for payment of tuition in accordance with the following schedule:
Tuition Liability for withdrawing by week during the semester:
- 1st week of classes: 0 % of tuition is charged.
- 2nd week of classes: 30 % of tuition is charged.
- 3rd week of classes: 50 % of tuition is charged.
- 4th week of classes: 70 % of tuition is charged.
- 5th week of classes: 100 % of tuition is charged.
Failure to notify ESF Outreach that you wish to withdraw, or dropping classes beyond the 5th week, does not release the student from any financial obligation. Sorry, NO EXCEPTIONS.
If you are dropping a course after the "last day to add," you must obtain your instructor's signature on the Add/Drop form.
Cancellations and Refunds
SUNY-ESF reserves the right to cancel a scheduled course and if a course has to be cancelled, a full refund of tuition and fees will be made to you.
