Summer Institute a Success!

SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) and the Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS) sponsored an Environmental Science Summer Institute for Teachers in August, 2007, at the Ranger School in Wanakena, NY.

Speakers included:

  • Dr. Dudley Raynal, Distinguished Teaching Professor and Dean of Instruction and Graduate Studies at ESF
  • Dr. Donald Leopold, Distinguished Teaching Professor and Chair of the Environmental and Forest Biology Department at ESF
  • Dr. David Pimentel, Professor Emeritus of Insect Ecology & Agricultural Sciences, Department of Entomology and Section of Ecology and Systematics, Cornell Universit
  • Professor Chris Westbrook, Director of the Ranger School
  • Professor Mike Bridgen, Ranger School
  • Mr. Michael Webb, Ranger School Instructor—Surveying and GPS
