Join us for the 2010 Central New York Green Infrastructure Symposium, hosted by the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) and the Environmental Finance Center at Syracuse University (EFC) November 17 and 18. This Symposium will provide a focused discussion and gathering of leaders, professionals, researchers, government officials, and others who wish to learn more about advances in green infrastructure applications and regional workforce development. Experts and specialists on the local to regional level will share their insights into the growth of green infrastructure (GI) and related workforce development, and will discuss current opportunities and barriers in the field. Students and those interested in continuing education in green infrastructure are welcome to attend.

Abstracts will be accepted for oral presentations for research sessions held on November 17. Instructions for submission are included in the Call_For_Abstracts document (.pdf). Presentations should be focused on green infrastructure research, with special attention given to projects in New York State. Topics can include:

  • Human and behavioral dimensions
  • Financial feasibility
  • Municipal water system implications
  • Climate change mitigation
  • Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs)
