This annual competition is held at the sectional level and proceeds onto a state competition. Participants develop a primary research project and submit a paper on the project to the local Congress officials. Those accepted to present their papers will compete in the sectional competition. Please contact your Section leaders for more information and proposal deadlines.

The Great Backyard Bird Count - learn about birds and birding and contribute valuable local information to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Event takes place every February during Presidents’ Day weekend. Next year’s count will take place February 15-18, 2008 and takes place right in your own back yard!! Use this as part of your curriculum or as an extra-curricular activity to get your kids involved in some important research.
