Brownfield Teleconference

ESF Outreach will host a Brownfield Teleconference on Monday, November 24, 2003 and Tuesday, December 2, 2003. Join us for this moderated telecast in Nifkin (Alumni) Lounge.

The teleconference will provide a forum with four modules for an official discussion of new legislation that created the Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP). The goal of the BCP is to enhance private-sector cleanup of brownfields and to reduce developmental pressure on "greenfields".

Parking: A shuttle will run from Irving Parking garage to Marshall Hall to transport people to the sessions. A second shuttle will be available after each session to Irving Parking garage.

Baldwinsville Brownfield Project

From the mid-1800s until its abandonment in the late 1980s, this site was used by various entities including a paper mill,
a boat works and a stove manufacturing facility; the result was significant contamination of the land. For more information about this site, visit http://www.dec.state.ny.us/website/der/projects/bf_bville.html
