3rd Annual Forestry Field Day at Frost Valley YMCA Model ForestThe 3rd Annual Forestry Field Day will bring together a wide array of research specialists and trained instructors that focus on forest and water quality management. Research specialists will kick off the 3rd Annual Field Day by providing presentations on forest and water quality research projects underway at the Frost Valley Model Forest. These presentations are scheduled to occur in the new Model Forest classroom and will cover 1) forestry and wildlife management in northern hardwoods and 2) water quality and forestry.
Landowners, Foresters, Loggers and Interested Citizens.
From Liberty, NY: Take Rte 55 east ten miles to Curry. Look for sign on the right side marked "Claryville." Turn left onto County Road 19 and go four miles to Claryville. Look for sign on right marked " Frost Valley ." Turn left onto County Rd 157 (it becomes County Rd 47) and drive seven miles to Frost Valley West Valley of the Neversink facilities.
From Albany, NY and Points North: From NY Thruway Exit 19 (Kingston), go 30 miles west on Rte 28. Look for signs on the left marked "Big Indian." Turn left onto County Road 47 and go 14 miles to Frost Valley.
