Thank you to those who made the 2011 symposium possible, and thank you to all those who participated! Please plan to join us in 2012, and check this page frequently for updates on future symposia.
The mission of the CNY Biotechnology Symposium is to bring together industry representatives and scientists, academics and students, and other professionals interested in biotechnology in order to develop synergies and relationships that further advance the field. In addition, the symposium seeks to stimulate interest in the CNY Biotechnology Research Center.
The 2011 Central New York Biotechnology Symposium brought together the region’s most promising and innovative biotechnology companies involved in drug discovery and development, manufacturing of biologicals and cell-based therapies, bioremediation, agricultural biotechnology, and bioproducts and bioenergy. Sessions on small company business development and international collaboration were also included. A special lunchtime presentation showcased the final design and operating parameters of the Central New York Biotechnology Research Center (CNY BRC), an incubator facility for biotechnology companies located in the Kennedy Square section of Syracuse.
