SUNY-ESF Summer Session
Q: Can I take courses if I am not matriculated at SUNY-ESF?
A: Yes! Non-matriculated persons may take courses at SUNY-ESF. Please see the Visiting Student Guide for more information.
Q: How do I register for a SUNY-ESF Summer Session course (registration began February 1, 2013)?
A: This depends on your student status:
- Matriculated SUNY-ESF students should submit a SUNY-ESF Registration form (available at the Registrar’s Office) to the Registrar’s Office (111 Bray Hall). Please note:
- There is not a 5 digit course number for SUNY-ESF Summer Session courses
- There is no registration through MySlice.
- Non-matriculated (visiting) students should fill out a Visiting Student Registration Form and submit it to the SUNY-ESF Outreach office. This can be done in person (214 Marshall Hall; Attn: Maura Stefl), by fax (315.470.6890; Attn: Maura Stefl), by email (document must be signed; mhstefl@esf.edu), or by mail (SUNY-ESF Outreach, Attn: Maura Stefl, 1 Forestry Drive, 215 Marshall Hall, Syracuse, NY 13210).
Q: Who do I talk to about tuition, fees, and billing?

Q: Is Financial Aid available for SUNY-ESF Summer Session?
A: This depends on your student status:
- Matriculated SUNY-ESF students taking fewer than 6 credits are not eligible for federal or institutional financial aid, but some financial assistance may be available. Contact SUNY-ESF’s Financial Aid and Scholarships Office for more information (113 Bray Hall, 315.470.6670, finaid@esf.edu).
- Matriculated SUNY-ESF students taking more than 6 credits may qualify for some financial aid. Contact SUNY-ESF’s Financial Aid and Scholarships Office for more information (113 Bray Hall, 315.470.6670, finaid@esf.edu).
- Non-matriculated (visiting) students are not eligible for federal, state, and/or institutional financial aid for SUNY-ESF Summer Session.
Q: Is housing available for SUNY-ESF Summer Session students?
