Services for Students:

  • Absence—In case of illness, emergency, family crisis, or any other "circumstance beyond your control" requiring you to miss one or more days of classes, contact 110 Bray Hall. We will notify your faculty members on your behalf. Documentation will be required.
  • Academic Counseling—To find out about the ESF academic system and how things work.  Play out scenarios.  Receive assistance with time management and study skills.
  • Change of Major—Discuss career and academic impacts as well as starting the paper work. Complete the Change of Program of Study form—Word, PDF
  • Disabilities—For all disabilities (learning, physical, emotional) start with the Career & Counseling office to receive appropriate services.
    • Recently Accepted Students—Upon being accepted, submit documentation of your disability so appropriate accommodations may be provided. Plan to send your materials at least 4 weeks prior to the semester you plan to attend. Also, please download, complete, and send the Student Self-Identification Information form—Word, PDF. Completed forms should be sent to Mr. Slocum, 110 Bray Hall, 1 Forestry Drive, Syracuse, NY 13210.
  • Leaving ESF
    • Withdrawal Form (if you plan to leave ESF during the semester)—Word, PDF
    • Change in Educational Plans form (if you plan to finish your current semester but not return the following semester)—Word, PDF
  • Returning to ESF—Complete the Application for Readmission (Word, PDF) form several weeks prior to returning to ESF.
  • Personal Problems—Start here to sort out and begin working on all sorts of personal problems. Often personal problems impact or tie in with academic and career considerations.
  • SU Counseling Center—provides long-term and therapeutic support through their Counseling Services and Psychological Services offices. Direct contact and referrals can be made for ESF students.
  • CampusBlues—Cool website to help deal and/or adjust to all levels of college life.
